Acute Neurology Boot Camp - The 7th session with Dr Aisling Carr

ABN Acute Neurology Boot Camp - Tonight 7-8 PM, the seventh session will feature Dr Aisling Carr, London speaking on Acute Neuromuscular Weakness.
Dr Carr was appointed as a consultant neurologist in the centre for neuromuscular diseases in the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery in 2016 after completing a clinical fellowship in Peripheral Nerve with Professor Reilly. Her undergraduate training was in Trinity College Dublin, followed by general and Neurology specialty post-graduate training in Northern Ireland. During this time she developed clinical and research interest in neuromuscular diseases via an MSc in myology in the Salpetriere hospital in Paris and a PhD in Myasthenia epidemiology between Queens University Belfast and Oxford. Her current clinical practice specialises in peripheral nerve, particularly inflammatory neuropathy and she leads the neuromuscular intravenous immunoglobulin service in NHNN. Her research interest is immune-mediated diseases in nerve and muscle. With particular interest in neurological manifestations of checkpoint inhibitor neurotoxicity and development of peripheral nerve biomarkers.
