The ABN RaDAR is a platform to facilitate ascertainment and research recruitment in rare neurological disorders. Participating ordinary and associate members of the ABN, who are currently working in the UK, receive a monthly email listing the conditions
being sought. If the ABN member has seen one of the conditions over the preceding month, they should indicate the number of patients seen via the form on the RaDAR section of the ABN website, which will then be followed up by the study's investigator(s).
The work of the notifying doctor is kept to an absolute minimum. The email also contains a clickable hypertext link to be used by the email recipient if they have not seen any of the conditions under surveillance over the preceding month.
ABN members can view further information about conditions currently below surveyed by RaDAR:
Any ABN ordinary member can apply to ascertain a neurological condition using the RaDAR. For further information please contact lead for RaDAR, via the ABN Office.
