The Association of British Neurologists hosted a virtual event for medical students on Wednesday 27th November 2024 from 1-5 pm, via a Zoom webinar. This was a free event.
The speakers used interactive cases to demonstrate how history and examination skills lead to diagnosis for common neurological problems and discuss exciting new advances in treatment arising from basic science. Sessions also covered practical advice
on the structure of neurological training and how to enter the specialty.
There was an opportunity for students to submit an abstract of clinical or scientific content on neurology, the top 4 abstracts were selected and got the opportunity to present their work on the day. The afternoon conclude with the top presentation being
selected as best platform.
Call for abstracts is usually open for 4-5 weeks, starting in September.
Abstract Requirements:
- The word limit for abstracts is 200 words, excluding title and authors’ details.
- Graphs and images should not be included.
- Abstract titles should not exceed 60 characters.
