The ABN Council Elections will take place online via Civica. Ordinary members will be asked to vote for their preferred candidates.

ELECTED ROLES
The roles due for election this year are:
President (2025-2027 as President Elect, 2027-2029 as President)
The President is responsible for providing strategic leadership and works with the Executive Committee and Council to establish long-term goals, plans and policies.
The President supports the Executive Director to lead the office team and deliver the operational and strategic objectives of the Association. Should the need arise, the President will be responsible for the recruitment and appointment of the
ABN Executive Director.
ABN is a charity registered in England & Wales and during their term, the President will serve as a trustee of the charity.
Please note: The ABN President and President Elect are not able to present at or chair Symposia at the Annual Meeting during their time in office.

Honorary Secretary (2025-2026 as honorary Secretary Elect, 2026-2028 as honorary Secretary)
The Honorary Secretary supports the ABN office by providing oversight on ABN’s external communications and working with the Executive Director to manage our office team. The Honorary Secretary is responsible for overseeing ABN's contributions
to consultations and works closely with ABN's advisory groups and services committee.
ABN is a charity registered in England & Wales and during their term, the Honorary Secretary will serve as a trustee of the charity.
Please note: The ABN Honorary Secretary and Honorary Secretary Elect are not able to present at or chair Symposia at the Annual Meeting during their time in office.

2 x Council member (2025-2029)
Council Members contribute to the governance of the Association, attend trustee meetings and provide valuable input on strategic decision making. Council members must be Ordinary Members in order to stand for election.
