Emily says: "I am thrilled to be joining the ABN after serving as Executive Director at the University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES) since 2015. During my tenure, I’ve steered UACES through the conversion to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, as well as the challenges of Brexit and the Covid pandemic. Dedicated to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, I've implemented policies and collaborated on projects across Europe and Africa to enhance representation in European Studies. In 2023, I spearheaded the launch of UACES's new academic journal, Contemporary European Politics. I value the connections and networks that are fostered by membership associations, and I look forward to contributing to the ABN’s community in the coming years. With a PhD in Shakespeare Studies, literature remains a lifelong passion, and outside of work, you'll (more often than not) find me on the sofa engrossed in a good book."
