BPF publish Optimal Clinical Pathway for polio survivors

It is essential that a clear referral pathway and funding arrangement is in place to ensure that patients who have had polio and are now experiencing new and/or deteriorating symptoms of late effects polio (LEOP) or post-polio syndrome (PPS), receive specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment in a timely manner to prevent avoidable functional deterioration and disability.

The British Polio Fellowship’s Optimal Clinical Pathway sets out what good treatment, care and support looks like for polio survivors.
