Laura Evans is the Head of Commercial and Employment Law at a non-ministerial government department where she leads a team of legal professionals. Prior to joining the civil service in 2020, Laura was a solicitor in private practice in London. Alongside her legal career, Laura has over a decade of trustee experience in the youth and community sector. In particular, she has experience of providing strategic oversight of funding decisions and risk management advice. Laura is also passionate about inclusivity and leads initiatives to improve equity at her current employer, including running a mentoring programme for women.
